Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions should be read carefully by all clients of Etang de Villaine before agreeing to reserve with us. The terms and conditions govern the legal relationship between Etang de Villaine (company registered number FR 62509311353) and you, “the customer”.
All bookings are made subject to, and strictly upon, these booking conditions.
Etang de Villaine reserve the right to decline a booking and reserve the right to refuse access to any person or persons, without explanation or compensation. The booking constitutes an offer by the customer to pay for fishing, in accordance with these booking conditions.
All bookings are provisional until the booking has been accepted, upon the customer receiving acknowledgment from Etang de Villaine of the payment. Only at this point shall the booking come into existence and form a legally binding contract.
The customer must check the confirmation of the booking carefully once received and contact Etang de Villaine immediately if there are any discrepancies.
Contact details of the lead guest in all bookings must be kept up to date for emergency services and insurance purposes.
Group bookings -the party leader must ensure the terms and conditions are read and understood by all guests in the group.
In extreme weather conditions Etang de Villaine management reserve the right to take any necessary measures to ensure the highest standard of health and safety is adhered to. This could include cancellation of a booking with immediate effect.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Balance of payment:

A non-transferable deposit of £100 per angler is required to reserve your vacation.
Full balance is due no less than eight weeks before your arrival.
If not received eight weeks before the date of the vacation, Etang de Villaine Fisheries reserve the right to cancel your booking and charge a cancellation fee.
Alteration to your confirmed booking will be accommodated wherever possible.
Booking cancellation fees will apply:
Initial booking deposit refund -3 months prior to arrival.
Full cost of holiday refund - 3 months prior to arrival.
Covid- We altered angler bookings for both 2020 and 2021 seasons at a great cost to ourselves. From the 2023 season onward we will not alter bookings to a later date for Covid-related issues or any other future pandemic. It is the responsibility of the anglers to provide their own travel insurance with Covid or pandemic cover.
Passports: It is advisable that all customers ensure they hold a valid ten-year passport.
It is your responsibility to ensure all the relevant up to date travel documents and insurance are in place.
We recommend your travel insurance includes medical cover as adequate protection for illness or injury. You should have an E.H.I.C (European Health Insurance Card) or G.H.I.C (Global Health Insurance Card), as insurance is not included in your holiday.
We accept your deposit and booking on the understanding that you have read these Terms and Conditions.
Booking confirmation signifies you accept full responsibility, and that Etang de Villaine is exempt from any claims whatsoever.

We accept no responsibility in respect of flight/ferry delays or cancellations due to weather conditions, strikes, terrorism, political unrest, industrial disputes, war, acts of God or any other events beyond our control.

Lake Terms and Conditions

You must take all the necessary steps to safeguard your own personal safety.
You are expected to take reasonable care of all hired equipment and leave it in good condition.
A holding charge of 50 euros (payable on arrival). This will be returned when all appropriate checks of equipment have been carried out. An appropriate sum will be deducted if any equipment is damaged.
We reserve the right, immediately, to terminate the services we are contractually obliged to provide to you if we, or our employees judge your behavior to likely cause discomfort or harm to our clients, or any other person or property. Forbidding unlawful behavior, hate speech, bullying, drunken behavior, illegal drug consumption and verbal abuse, will not be tolerated. Etang de Villaine will not be liable for compensation or refund to you.
All lake rules at Etang de Villaine are to be adhered to at all times.
If you cause damage, you will be liable for any replacement costs.
Our liability to you will not exceed the amount paid to us for your holiday.
We accept no liability for any death or personal injury unless this results from our own negligence.
Any complaints must be reported to the owners of Etang de Villaine directly or put in writing, no more than 7 days after your vacation.
